 Adjusting the governer on PD
I have a 32hp PD and have tried to adjust the governer with piss poor results. I guess I'm just slooow in the haid. Any way the thing is screwed all the way in now and ildes so fast it backfires when I shut it off. How should I approach this in order to get it running right again and keep some rpms? Also it revs up when I turn it sharply. It's an 04 motor with 85 hrs on it. TIA

Re: Adjusting the governer on PD
First off what screw are you refering to the screw on the throttle linkage right above the exhaust or the screw on the governor???? If you are refering to the screw above the exhaust being all the way in you need to back it out to about half way, then adjust the idle screw on the governor and set the idle at 1200 rpm.

Re: Adjusting the governer on PD
I was really waiting for that to happen but I didn't wanna be "THAT GUY". But he quickly turned to drew and started to mess with him I guess he was thinkin that drew wouldn't fight back. He was lucky that day, everyone had the same thought in their head not to start trouble, have a good time, make some new friends, drink some beer, and try not to get stuck!!! If we wouldn't have been at the "LA Mudrun" we would have thrown it down in that muddy a$$ yard!!! We don't roll like that with women and children around.......

This is for a horizontal but the adjustment screws are the same on the vertical- just in different positions. The pictures may help you. http://www.allmudmotors.com/blogs/how-t ... k-vanguard
