 Re: Frogging
This may seem like a dumb question but keep in mind any frogs around here are pretty small in comparison not to mention they are hibernating under a few feet of ice and mud. How do you kill those frogs before you clean them? I assume you want them alive right up until you clean them. Do you whack em on the head or is there some other method? The only ones we've ever caught were for bass bait, so I can see the fun in catching them, they just wouldn't be worth cleaning.

 Re: Frogging
How many of y'all Louisiana boys clean em whole and fry em like that? We started doing it this past season on the big frogs, takes a second longer to clean but I think its worth the time on the big ones.

 Re: Frogging
When I was young I did it only to make money. I didn't start eating frogs till my late 20's or unless someone else fried them. Lol. Me and my dad just finished talking about making a trip for the freezers

 Re: Frogging
80 frogs in three hours. Had a good night. To reference the thread above i about became a statistic last night when a cottonmouth was sitting inches behind a frog and i never seen it until i grabbed the frog. Thank goodness the snake and i had a mutual respect because it hauled ass in one direction and i hauled ass back into the boat....with his dinner lol.

 Re: Frogging
You should go try just to see if you get anything and see if the cold weather affects the frogs. I'd like to know myself but i havent had the time to try it
