 Crossing ice Forgot i had this video, coldest weather i've ever experienced in SETX and the most miserable boat ride ever....a good 1/2" of ice all the way out of the lake. Cold and miserable but still an awesome experience.

Re: Crossing ice Thats not even bad. When you have to walk the boat up on top of the ice and jump up and down to get it to brake now thats ice.

Re: Crossing ice of course the northern guys think its not bad. This IS the coldest i've ever hunted in and the first time this lake ever had that much ice on it in a good 10+ years. I think it was like 15* that day, It isnt supposed to be that cold in Texas!

Re: Crossing ice It was a awesome experience, the ice was thick enough that the cormorants were walking around on it and they were sliding all over the place trying to fly

Re: Crossing ice When it doubt throttle it out! It was kinda wierd i went in through a shallow narrow cut that wasnt frozen and then when i got into the big lake it was all frozen. Never been in ice before so we just rode around in it videoing for a while.

Crossing ice We are still driving our trucks across the ice here in MN! We don't measure the think ness by the half inch but the foot!
