Re: Carb Kit A motor drill, a couple drill bits, a tap, a screw, a roll pin and piece of aluminum you can make a governor block in just a few minutes.

Carb Kit And for the record the kit is way cheaper than others costs but can't be done for under 500$

Carb Kit You can piece together all of the parts needed to complete a "kit" for less than $500.
Someone looking to save a few bucks probably doesn't care if all the parts are new.

Re: Carb Kit Gentlemen, I may have found my solution.
Got home from work today and went over and talked to my neighbor who builds street/strip bikes and full out drag bikes and told him my situation, and how I thought 800 was something steep. He turned around opened a box in his shop and said here, mikuni hsr42 in my hand now. He takes them off to use s&s e's. then went to another box and pulled out a filter and boots. And told me to let him know when I was ready to work on a intake adapter. Needless to say I think I can do it for less than 500

Re: Carb Kit I've got a PVT Mikuni carb adapter sitting on the shelf. I'll take $50 just so AKA will have to eat his words on it can't be done for under 500. Especially since I remember him saying that 800 for carb kit is stupid bcause it can be done for less.

Re: Carb Kit They did copy his vertical mount for sure. They also copied Al's on their first run intakes before switching to the new style.
