Yep... Camo Designs. I sent Ricky a picture of my typical hunting background and one of the blind material. I was surprised at how close it matched. No complaints.

It's Owen's fault I bought this boat.

I'm thinking of getting a 60 or 75 hp Evinrude Etec tiller for using on this boat once an a while... I checked with the dealer and can get a new one at a decent price on last years model. I think it will be nice for very long runs in deep water when I go to Canada. I can drop the GTR back on it when I need it.

Any thoughts? How do you think it will handle? Too much motor?

Having never had a outboard on this boat, I'm worried about spending the money and then having something that doesn't work very well.

The 60hp model weighs 250lbs and the 75hp model weighs 320lbs. The GTR35 thats on the boat now weighs 260. That's my only comparison.

They put a demo motor on the boat so I could try it. The 75 is borderline too much motor... it hauls ass (didn't have the GPS). I would guess 40-45 mph but I don't really know. Maybe it just seems way faster compared to what I'm used to now. I think I'll go with the 60hp.

I'm surprised how well it handles with the traditional outboard. I thought it would slide more in the turns. I didn't put a heavy load in there, but fully expect it to haul anything I could put in it.

I still wouldn't trade the GTR for anything, but an outboard will be nice for long hauls & fishing.

There is no such thing as too much motor.
