 Tilapia?
Shot this guy Friday night. Should of taken a pic before he went in the bucket. He had lots of blue and pink color in his tail, and a really spiney dorsal.
Anyone know?

 Re: Tilapia?
Hard to say from your pic, but this is one my wife caught a while back. Look the same?

 Re: Tilapia?
We've only seen them in power plant lakes. (Because of water temp)

 Tilapia?
Yep, first and only on a pole. She was throwing a rapala jointed crank bait.

 Re: Tilapia?
I have caught a couple on rod and reel in some golf course ponds in Florida. They were sitting on beds and it was all sight fishing. Used a small fly rod and a little bead head nymph fly. Try to land it on the far side of the bed and drag it very slowly across the bed. Half the time they would jump right on it and the other half they would spook off to deep water for a couple minutes. They fight pretty good for their size too. I had no idea what they were when me and my brother were catching them...gets way too cold for them up here in Maryland.
