just think if you would have at least put 62 hours on it with in the 2-3 years of warranty then you wouldn't be in this pickle.

I'm def gonna try cranking and running my new setup more but I will never be convinced that it's somehow my fault that motor came apart like that.It was in great shape never hit or misused and I maintained it pretty well .Im also kinda looking at he comments people have made well mine or my buddy's has 100 hours w no problem well these motors according to briggs are suppose to be 3000+ hour engines so if you are one in the hundreds you better go caress ur heads often and talk to it just right and maybe you may get lucky and not end up like me

When its all said and done your going to spend just as much money and headaches retro fitting and adjusting to where it needs to be than it would to just get another briggs or kohler. Maybe you didnt check valve lash and this caused your engine to let loose maybe it was a lemon from briggs. We will never know, we do know your butt hurt cause you didnt get a free motor after your warranty was up and everyone that has one of these motor is lucky if they have more hours than you got out of yours. The majority of people beat the shit out of these engines without issue and when the blow they start over with the same platform its part of the game with mud motors you gotta pay to play. A riding lawn mower will go for 20 years but a mud motor is a much more abusive application so you can expect a decreased engine life.
