 Bowfishing leds 12 vs 24
I did a search it was discussed a lil here and there but figured it deserves it's own thread.
12 volts vs 24 volts How r u boys wiring your setups?

Doesn't make much of a difference. 24v should allow you to run a slightly smaller wire and possibly be a little cooler, but the difference should be negligible. Run it whichever way will be easier. If nothing else in your boat will run on 24v, you don't need to go out of your way to create a 24v supply.

With the new charging system u prolly ok running 12V. Batts last longer on their own at 24v.

I'll be pulling 25 amps if I run 24 volt setup, any idea how to calculate how long it will last?

Depends on the ah rating on the batts, fd. Find that out and you can calculate it. Paper isnt always exact but should give u an idea.

You might look into a small inverter style generator also and use a converter to keep the batts charged. Just set up a buddys boat with two converters, 8 50w led's, and a 101 troller. Without the generator, you can fish about three hours, with it, you can fish as long as you want and batts stay full all night. Dont have to worry about charging them to go again the next night . They're extremely quiet. You can talk at a normal level and really dont even notice they're there.
