are you using any wood with your coals, or just straight lump?
I usually use a heartier wood with ducks - like mesquite or hickory.

Re: Do yall eat gadwall? BM I still stand by that statement! hey I been driving through Mville on the way to the fish market a couple times a week. Is that your blind behind the Carhart factory? By the way the Burger King there sucks. I stopped by there last year and said never again. Well I forgot why I said that and a couple weeks ago I made the same mistake again and swear to never stop by there again. I had words with a smart mouth idiot employee and got a round of applause by other customers. I told them I knew you and that got me no where.  Randy

Re: Do yall eat gadwall? Aside from woodies the greys are usually my #1 bird. We are just one big water hole now with all the rain we had and what birds are here are spread out on private property. All the feed in the river and lake was killed off by the high water so its been hard huntin.
