 Popup camper recommendations
Had a Coleman '95 and sold it. Was quite good. Looking for a smaller unit, probably 10' box popup, need reviews or recommendations on manufacturers and models.

 Re: Popup camper recommendations
I just primitive camped with my family for six straight days- I was turkey hunting. I want a little more comfort, security, and versatility- the popup camper does that and fits my budget.

 Re: Popup camper recommendations
I've considered one of the full size hard-sided pop ups. Don't know. I just tent it when I go now. I guess once the little one gets a bit older and we have more young'uns a camper might be the way to go.

 Re: Popup camper recommendations
My wife has backpacked in the Himalayas and my eight year old daughter loves the outdoors but a hard rain can spoil the standard tent thing. The beds on that Coleman were superb, you really got a good night's sleep. I've looked at the A frames, but most are designed for just couples, plus they are very expensive which is not what I expected on such small units. So far Rockwood, Jayco, and Palomino look good. A smaller popup would fit my budget, fit in my yard, be easy to trailer, and still be like tent camping.

Build a camper in the bed of the truck.....seen a cool one the other day.... wood ship lap shingled roof... I couldn't get my phone quick enough to take a pic. It did not look niggerish. ... like a little cabin.

 Re: Popup camper recommendations
I had a 2000 Coleman. It was a descent little camper. Brought it on a trip to Colorado , it actually did quite well . Had to replaces the breakers in it . That was the only issue I ever had with it.
