 Plum retarded
Any of y'all boys following the Texas bass classic? They are flat out smoking em down on fork. Any of you texas boys ever get on em out there like that? I can't imagine culling 6 pounders...or catching a 42 lb sack! Shits ridiculous, schools of fish that size. They don't grow em like that down here.

 Re: Plum retarded
Fork has a slot for bass, thats why they are so big. Plan on making a trip there pretty soon.
Biggest ive caught was a 9lb 4oz on Toledo Bend, Haven't ever fished Fork but i am gonna give it a try.

 Re: Plum retarded
Shit take'em looks like you need to start heading north tonight the way they're catching them right now! I think Fork has Toledo whipped in the big bass category. I wanna make a trip to a Texas lake one of these years, it's just so hard to choose...falcon, fork, amistad...y'all got em over there.

 Re: Plum retarded
Texas manages their waters much better than Louisiana for bass fishing. Toledo bend is not as old as many of those lakes as well.

Falcon is where the toads are. Only problem is the are on the wet back side. Fish at your own risk lol

 Re: Plum retarded
Fork isn't the only place you can catch them like that.... You just have to know where they're at and fish them hard. My brother and I did some damage this spring on those green suckers. Didn't fish any tournaments but if we would have entered I'm sure either one of us would have done well in them. Main thing we figured out is you can't be hung up on what every one else is doing or where they're fishing. Trying new things and places really paid off for us this yr.

 Re: Plum retarded
^ Hence the reason things don't change. Don't fool yourself, the fishery as a whole isn't nearly what it once was. Friends that make their living off the fish all agree with this as well. Things change. LA's marsh is disappearing every day and more people are fishing. I haven't been fishing LA as long as some on here but about 25 yrs. It is sad the changes I have seen in that time. Just my observation.

 Re: Plum retarded
Anyone who is serious about heading to Fork drop me a line. I'm not much of a fisherman, but I can definitely point you in the right direction. And possibly hook someone up with a place to stay for a few aluminum cans!

 Re: Plum retarded
Whats funny is bass masters fished here in setx last year as their first tournament after the classic and it took 40 something pounds to win. Some didn't even weight in a fish. then the next week they were at falcon with over 100 pounds.
