 Lakes Conroe & Sommerville
Anyone done any good on the lakes this season? Just trying to get some input before I make a blind run. Thanks

 Re: Lakes Conroe & Sommerville
I know a guy who lives on conroe. He's been driving all the way up to the dallas area, and farther to the red river area for ducks. Know he stayed down there most of the last two years, so I'm assuming he hasn't been able to find the birds this year. Although, I'd say it would be safe to bet some birds will be makin there way down throughout the week. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. Anyone else? Mostly looking to see if anyone has had any luck on Lake Sommerville.
The Marsh hasn't been producing like it was. Need a change of scenery.

I hunt sommerville alot and have my up and down days. There is alot of hunters on the lake. You really need to be in a area were there has been low pressure. lots a pockets you just have to find em. Good luck.

 Re: Lakes Conroe & Sommerville
There is no way in hell I would waste my time goin back to Somerville after the last 2 weekends there. There rally isn't many birds plus most of the places that usually dont have any pressure are dried up cause they are lettin water out of the damn. Go south my friend!! Or east

 Re: Lakes Conroe & Sommerville
I've hunted Conroe just about every weekend since Thanksgiving and other than some local woodies it's not worth the effort. i've scouted every cove north of 1097 and there isn't much to speak of. But like i always say, tomorrow might be awesome!
