Post How many rpms
I had my rig out for the first time today prodrive 36 on a 1854 and 3400 was the highest rpms I could get out of it should I be getting more?

Yes you should be getting more (assuming you're not carrying around elephants) . What year/model is your pd?

Pd hull?
Verify throttle is fully opening.
Verify out of water rpms.
Are you new to surface drives? 3400 rpm was at your best speed?

Yea pd hull
New to surface drives and the rpm were at top speed
I have not tried it out of the water

They take some getting use to. Start by making sure your butterfly in the carb is fully opening and see what the oow rpms are.

You should be at 4350 so adjust your governor. Again pull your filter to make sure you are fully open at wot.

No I bought it on ebay it was a coast guard boat they bought it only has ten hours on it out of water in gear or not I can get 4200 easy I will check butterfly

2-3 years old with 10 hours; could be a fuel or carb issue.

It runs fine out of the water and in the water it runs good just not getting up rpms in water like when out of water is it something I am doing
