We have a lot of problems going on in this country. The assault on the Bill of Rights specifically the first 10 and especially the first 5. All the smart meters and Agenda 21 is nothing more than a way to control the population. It infringes on our freedoms.

The influx of all the illegals will hurt this country right now, not help it. They will become drain on our government at least and be a disease, crime ridden problem at most. Either way, we do not need it.

Our economy is not recovering. I think the economy will start to contract even more. We have the fewest amount percentage-wise of people working in our economy since Jimmy Carter was president. Our problem is spending. And we cannot make more jobs when there are so many regulations holding us back for no reason. And if the government is giving away too much, people will not want to work.

The militarization of our police and sheriff's departments are alarming. Instead of catching someone in a normal routine, they have to use a swat team to catch someone when they are putting others at risk. Swat teams should be used in hostage situations. But my brain says that those police will turn the guns on law abiding citizens in a Katrina like situation and already have. But it is getting worse. Plus, departments wanting to take guns away during a crisis when we need to protect ourselves. Of course there is always an assault on the 2nd amendment.

This is part of the last paragraph. The militarization of Federal agencies to get around posse commitatus. Federal agencies are just getting too much power and hardware. We do not need another Waco or Ruby Ridge. In Waco, it was a guy doing wrong things, but a smart agency could have picked him up on his trip into town. But these agencies will not need the type of reasons to assault Americans in the future. This is one of the most worrisome things for me.

There is more political unrest. People are pissed. And Obama and the democrats are playing racial, sexual, classism type politics that is used to divide people. Not based on tried and true policies about human nature based on centuries of experience about human nature. The presidency along with congress is becoming a dictatorship, forcing things on us that is making us like Soviet Russia. Remember that Hitler was voted in, and many people liked him and welcomed him with open arms. He was nothing but a murdering thug. We need to reign in the power of the Congress and Presidency. But some of this is also happening on the state and local level.

Fellas, I know it is tough, but you all need to get involved with politics (policy) that is ruining us. And do not support even your father in office if he is corrupt or does not do what makes logical sense. We need less laws, not more. We need people in office that want the best for the people. Remember, that for the most part, what our grandparents tried to teach us today makes sense.

Gator, I know you are as concerned as I am. I am a very conservative ---to libertarian type guy. I believe in God and what He sent his only Son to do. I believe in being nice and helpful. But I also believe that a weapon is meant for those that want to put me in a life threatening situation--I carry every day. Help does not come from the government as much as it comes from just being friends and neighbors. And also being a volunteer. I do prison ministry once a week. I work on one and soon to be two political committees. I have two businesses, that may just bankrupt me. I love my country and the people in it.

Having said all that, we cannot worry about the woman drinking a beer in the passenger seat of a car not driving. Or the person that smokes weed in their house. We cannot worry about an elderly guy posting a flag out front of his home because it is against the home owners rules. We cannot worry about the guy that wants a cold drink over 20 ounces, or the woman that jwalks in the city. Or a boat trailer that has one light out. We need to concentrate on the most important things, not little trivial things meant to control the population.

This video is straight bullshit. Everyone wants to blame the police or the government instead of pointing the finger at themselves. I'm sure those officers were at those homes that were raided for no reason. Come on people. You mean to tell me you wouldn't want the law to come kicking in your neighbors door because they are selling dope to our youth or possibly your child? Some people blow my fucking mind.

Our brothers and sisters are still fighting a war in another country against terrorists while we fight it here on our home,turf. Who do you think was the first on the scene on 911???? That's right, our emergency responders. So before you go bitching that our law enforcement officers are equipped to much like our military you might need to sit back and look at the bigger picture.

I partially agree with you, but many officers, it seems, get far too aggressive, far too quickly. A little common sense and a little stop and think would help those guys out greatly.

Once it reaches a federal level there is no more accountability. If a city cop says "I'm doing that, its just wrong" he'll get reprimanded or given leave with pay but when a military grunt says it he's facing the brig or court martial. I'm all for police and law enforcement. I have family and friends in it but I don't want them getting their orders from the feds. Our police should be local guys who live in our neighborhoods and that's it! Our Military is to protect us from foreign enemies at home and abroad. Our police can handle what needs be done here. As for the UN policing here...well that strait up bull shit! You want to take orders from some fucking foreigner? That's what's happening!!! Does this UN guy know our constitution? Does he love this country , or freedoms and those that have fallen who provided it? I'm guessing NO! As for the child molesters, I'm for kicking in their door and sinking one between their eyes! But thats not going to happen! What might happen is an innocent bystander or neighbor and or dog is going to get killed while the UN cops is trying to get to the piece of shit but not taken precautions to protect the innocent. All very good points guys. I agree that there are some piece of shit and over zealous officer out there that should never have a badge. However I honestly believe there are more good law enforcement out there than bad.

As far as the feds getting involved in local law enforcement... there should be no room for this. All I was referring to between our military and local law enforcement is the equipment that is used. Back in the day law enforcement was out manned and out gunned. These days with the availability of military type weapons and equipment, law enforcement is able to combat the bad guys.

I agree that warrants that are executed could be done differently at times and and lives could be spared. Unfortunately the proper training and preparation is not covered before hand. I blame this on the leaders of the department's. There will always be that innocent bystander that is at the wrong place at the wrong time that ends of injured. That is the nature of the beast. My motto is" preparation prevents piss poor performance" I think this fits law enforcement to a T.

Glad you did not take that personally Pete. People like me honor our police, fire and EMS workers for having to do stuff that we either can't or won't do. You all have to make split second decisions that could mean your life or others.

I know a sergeant on our local police department. He is worried about what I am worried about. Our area has not done this too much. But he has agreed with me that if we get a police chief or a sheriff that gets a little power hungry during an event like hurricanes and maybe even some political demonstrations---that he may persuade some of these teams to over reach resulting in trampling of our rights at least and maybe even killing at most.

I refer back to Katrina a lot because it uncovered so much good and bad. Even though I lived here all my life, I am part of an agency as a volunteer that was part of the federal response. There were government and police officials that were creating their own little kingdoms in a fight over who and who was not going to go into their areas while people were dying and needing food/water. I worked at the OEP for 37 days. Higher ups in the command mostly fireman doing urban search and rescue could not believe some of these locals doing what they did. Saying they did not want anyone that was not a Louisianian searching and so much other stuff. We have to keep the locals from being out of hand as well as the federal government.

I have even wondered if every parish needs to have a citizens militia to help the departments in time of disaster but also as a deterrent to some official using his force to push down the citizens and protect the principals and laws of the constitution.

Everyone has to walk the line of going too far or not going far enough. I just want to keep my freedoms and the freedoms of my neighbors during great times and not so great times

The problem with Katrina was the media. The media blew up the situation. Did some police officers get shot early on, yes. But when the media was blowing up the killings and rapes in the dome, shooting down helos, mass murder and shootings throughout the city then law enforcement was on edge. The only people really left were people protecting their property and thugs. Most NOPD officers were stuck at their districts that were getting shot at according to the media. Their homes were trashed and their family's living in a hotel somewhere far away. Did bad shit happen, yes. Was it right, no. But NOPD should not have been working. Their mindset was unprecedented. It was Armageddon and the LEO's that responded from every Podunk town came in to kick ass. Most didn't know LA gun laws. The intentions were good but in a crisis of that magnitude, things got fucked up. Katrina was an anomaly.

As for the militarization of the police, the current administration is down sizing the military and are giving armored cars (MRAPS) and other vehicles and equipment to local and fed LE for free. I know it's a conspiracy to take over the US with obamas army but don't feed into this crap. LEO's and military can think for themselves and would not turn on their own citizens. I am conservative as it gets but Beck and others feed into this bullshit and hype and spread fear into the masses and cause distrust of LEOs.

Accidents happen but SWAT and SRT teams only do high risk warrants that the rank and file consider too high risk. They may use a free MRAP instead of buying a $80k bearcat. Keep your guns, stock up on ammo and mags but don't get all paranoid and feed into this hype.

My brother is a sherriffs deputy and he says it is gettin bad and is constantly tellin me to stock up on ammo and dried foods. Im for law and order but not the millitration of police.
