Yea, sorry but there isn't anything cool in south MS.. The humidity wasn't as horrible, but it damn sure wasn't my idea of cool.

That sounds nice. It was 76 this morning when I left the house. Not sure on humidity but I could tell it was lower than it has been.

it happens every now and then that a front will come through. it drops the temps about 5 or 6 degrees but the humidity really drops to make the difference in how it feels.

enjoy it, may be the last time we see 69 degrees till late Sept or October.

Central texas is amazing right now. Highs in low 90s. We froze our asses off on the way home from the firework show in the airboat. We camped last weekend in a tent at the red River and it was perfect weather then too. Lows in low 70s and breezy. Typically we are in our 100 days of 100* this time of year.

Post Re: Cold Front in July?
  You guys are funny. Getting down to 70 degrees at NIGHT is not "cooling off at night". I don't know how in the world you guys even function in that hot weather. I love going South in the winter when I can but could never live there in the summer. I've had heat stroke TWICE in my life. I damn near died the first time back in '88 cuz I didn't know what was happening to me and just kept working until I collapsed. Luckily a co-worker realized what had happened and drug me into a shower. When EMS checked my body temp, while under the shower, it was up over 105. The second time I realized what was happening and immediately stopped what I was doing BEFORE I had a chance to collapse, and ran into the house and got into a cold bath tub and recuperated for a few hours and was fine afterwards. Both times I was working and the temperature was around 100. So me and the heat don't get along any more.

My wife and I drove down to Norfolk Virginia earlier this week (July 1-2) and it was 98 -100 degrees. Temps were that high all across West Virginia and all the way thru Virginia. And the humidity was horribly high. I was never so happy to get back home.

It was 48 degrees here in S.W.Michigan yesterday morning. Great weather for sleeping at night with all the windows open and not having to run the central air! Got up to about 70 degrees for a high temp yesterday (July 4) and about 80 today for a high. I'll take the cold of winter; you guys can have all that heat and humidity. :P
