Anybody made ramps go get boat onto trailer?
If anybody lives in texas y'all know how low a lot of the lakes are. I just put some gator glide on my boat and it slides real easy so I was thinkin of building some ramps to attach to rear of trailer so if I put in off the bank I can just ramp the boat onto the trailer to get back out. Being that the only boat ramp open on the lake I live by is in the middle would be nice to put in somewhere else

Get some 2" square tubing and PVC bunks screwed on to the top and some way to attach it to the trailer.

I am sure you can find a single axle tilt trailer for your rig. Most of the time I drop my boat right on the side of the road. It works out very well. Than retrieving it is a lot easier. I just hook the winch anchor on the front of the trailer and as soon as the bow of the boat hits the back of the trailer it automatically tilts the trailer

Pair of 10 foot 4x4s works - if you have raised bunks just store them under the boat right on the trailer - just drill holes thru for lashing them down and attaching to rear of trailer - then use winch to pull your boat up and onto trailer....
Use an extension rope with several loops for hooking to the winch every 10 or 15 feet and you can retrieve the boat from a long ways away from water....
Cut 1" or larger pvc into sections the width of your boat - and you can launch from a long ways away from water and just lay them out and slide the boat downhill to the water - handy for getting over levys and off oyster beds too....

I was gonna try 4x4s but was afraid of them breaking. Funny you say that I already carry 4 pieces of PVC in the boat with me for that reason
