 Cottonmouth boats
Are any of y'all running a 14x48 or 15x42 or 44 with a hunt deck pushed by a 23? I'm really leaning towards these boats I'm just curious about what speeds you get with the 23 and if the hunt deck makes a difference.

 Re: Cottonmouth boats
Cory can tell you what a boat like that will run. He is a great guy and knows his stuff! I love my boat.

 Re: Cottonmouth boats
Brokeknee our 1544 and 1548 have given us the best all around handling and performance from the 23 copperhead. New the 23 only turns around 3,600 to 3,800 rpm's and runs 25-26. Once they get some hours on the motor and some wear on that beefy prop they turn 4,000 to 4,200 depending on how the governor is set and run 27-29 light 24-26 w/ a 2 man hunt load and dog. The hunt deck is used as part of my recessed transom design for strength and to save weight. It also gives a protected area for battery, bilge, wiring, etc. and an easy place to enter and exit the boat.
