Anyone went out and shoot some doves this weekend. I've been waiting to go back and do some shooting. PAC opened up at 4am and there was 100ish people that went out. I was 31. That was the 1st time I've been there. Fun hunt. Everyone in my group had limits around 8ish. There were a few people showing up as I was leaving. They had a good amount of birds out and everyone seemed to have a good time.

Got the breast all filleted out and chilling in the fridge. Still deciding how to cook them.

Kinda slow this morning for us. Ended up with 34.

Can't go wrong with wrapping them in bacon on the grill.

Stick a candied jalapeño in there under the bacon.

I shot 9 in my front yard with a pellet gun this morning

Guys at our place only killed 50. Said it was pretty slow. I didn't get to go, my work weekend

We had a couple decent hunts

We managed a few birds in PAC Saturday morning. It's was packed and sounded like a damn war zone

Limit in my front yard Saturday before 830...followed by a skeet shoot, cooking and waaayyy too much beer at the neighbors hunt that afternoon.

I got just enough for supper sunday. The places I went were slow and the birds were scattered this past weekend.

Had an okay opener in our Central Zone.
Headed to So Tex in 2 weeks for south zone opener, should be crazy good this year

Went out Saturday, and needless to say we were in the wrong spot! Shot 2 dove between daylight and 4-5ish in the afternon. Out of 5 people, we shot 14 all together. It was horrible. It was still fun hunting with faily and friends though.

8 folks killed only 58 on Saturday in arkansas

Managed my 15 on a sand bar yesterday. Hot though.

My girl went 14 for 15 on retrieves on her first hunt. That made it worth it.

Owen, what about your Boykin? Seems if you had a dove dog that would be it?

She didnt make the cut, she was a pussy and didnt like the cold water, and didnt like picking up big mallards. She was a dove and teal hunting machine though. I should have took her yesterday, but wanted the new prospect to get on some birds.

Hear is a few from today.. Cold front with snow predicted tonight, so the doves are not gonna be around for much longer..
