So I take a right pulling my GD boat and GTR. I mean a slow right. I look back my boat is going left. Alls I could do is watch my boat go into a 4 foot ditch. Thank got my GTR was ok not even a scratch on the skeg. The GG hardly got scratched on the pavement. Only a loading arm snapped but it was allready cracked ( have a replacement ) . The boat actualy slid in the grass about 20 feet before it went into the ditch. Looked like it was sliding across ice till the boat winch ran out of cable and stopped the boat before it flipped in the ditch ( boat winch unlocked when the boat came of the trailer ). Didn't know how it happened till I realized my strap was not on back of the boat ! Just had work done on it and I forgot to put the strap back on. Luckily a few guys from down street came to the rescue and helped me out. One guy said been her done this on his own boat. Loaded the boat up no problem and went on my way . But GG slides on grass realy well wish I would of got a pic. Glad this happened before I have it painted

Baw you need to start strapping down the back the boat as well! Glad it wasn't worst.

I use 2 straps - that chit is slippery

My 2 inch strap doesn't work well when it's not on the boat lol. Wasn't even going a mile down the road.

I use two in the rear and also have an emergency chain that hooks up with the winch.

No side guides to keep it from goin to far sideways

I've had mine slide off the side and off the back thanks too gator glide haha that shits slick

Mine too by back strap popped in a turn. The front stayed hooked though.

After reading all of the mishaps w/ GG, I'm a firm believer that one can't have too many straps. Thanks to you guys warning about GG, I use transom straps, another strap over the boat in front of trailer wheels, plus the safety chain on bow. And with everything cinched down, I can still wiggle the boat slightly but I also have plastic runners on my bunks.

Trailer guides don't matter. Mines has them. If the boat wants to go it will go. Lol my boat has three straps today lol

After reading this. I'm double strapping after I get done GG mine.

I cross my rear straps x2 prevents side to side motion .. Straight down just prevents from bouncing - but how often are you going to rough fast

That's the problem mine will only strap strsight up and down, but I got big strap going across as well

Sonde like all u need is a sport V to go along wif all the straps u tie your boat down with.

I'm only gunna use my big strag across the boat. Was seeing how the back straps looked

Guide rails on the back of the trailer. I've got front faceing LEDs in mine so i can always see where the trailer is at night works great. Plus the boat can't come off the dam thing.

Mine has rails too. Like I said if it wants to go . It will go.
