Post Alaska hunting pictures
A friend of mine, Pat Walsh, sent me a couple of pictures. Some of you guys might appreciate them. He's from Dillingham Alaska and says these were taken about 70 mies up the Nushagak River. If you pull that up on Google Earth you will see why reliability and fuel economy are so important to me. Could these be candidates for picture of the month even though they don't have a lady, child or dog in them?
Here is an interesting quote from Pat.
That little flatbottom boat and 35hp motor have hauled out over a dozen moose and caribou, and lots of beavers, ducks, geese, fish, etc. over the years. A good combination, although both boat and motor have been beaten to heck. As you know, the motor was flooded once, and I got caught by weather one fall and had to leave it upriver until next spring. I may have to think of upgrading some time in the next 10 years.
Pat

Always love your pics and stories! An Alaska trip is on my bucket list for sure. I want to take a river trip just like that for waterfowl and maybe bear or moose or something. Spend a couple weeks traveling the river system and have a specific take out location down stream. those pics give me chills just thinking about it! :) Keep the pics and stories coming...........

Great pics! This is the first fall I haven't been in Alaska for a while, and I'm absolutely missing it like you can't believe!

These pics have me smiling from ear to ear.

On his second day in Alaska I got to show this young airman the beauty of having a mud motor in AK. It's nice to have young guys along when you run out of water.

Netman, I'm running an early 70's 20x60 smoker craft river runner with a 45 mag. Probably more boat than that motor wants but the price was right.
