Hahaha, Damn Brasso!! They using key stock for longitudinal braces huh? Gator Trax is hardly a tank IMO, what does that 44" have? 4 1x2's?

Re: Been thinking about a bigger rig...
Boxes are nice to hunt and fish with, just weigh the boat down. I cant stand having to trip over poles, life jackets, tackle, gun cases, decoy bags, and your stupid dog when Im out on the water try to kill and catch. I also dont care if my boat goes 29 instead of 33. Ill just get to the ramp before you.

Re: Been thinking about a bigger rig...
We build boats to suit customer needs. If u want a wide open boat u get a wide open boat etc. On a 54 w 21" sides and 8" catwalks u lost no space inside the boat... U have tons of room actually.

If that pesky box is on your way it too can be removed so you can indulge in all your space needing pleasures.. Lol
We do it all is the point.. Shame on us for building multi purpose boats folks actually like. Lol

Re: Been thinking about a bigger rig...
I've been in/around chads boats since they hit the market. A lot here within the past year. Everyone I've ever talked with have loved their Prodigys. The first boat I ever seen was Dillakilla. Ever since then I've wanted one bad. I now got 2 buddies in them, and I'm still stuck in my excel lol. They ride great, and are excellent to hunt and fish outta. He's not a cookie cutter builder, whatever u want, he builds it.

Re: Been thinking about a bigger rig...
I apologize if I came across wrong. Just saying that the way we build boats w catwalks and corner boxes in the back leave u tons of space.
I encourage u to take a tape measure to any other boats u r considering and see the space etc. U have 56" of floor space in our 54 model. 8" catwalks take away zero of that and provide u many benefits etc. But we also build without catwalks etc as the pic posted shows.
Best of luck to you

Re: Been thinking about a bigger rig...
1852 single taper ,one center crimp/rib on the bottom. Runs like a 48 ,hauls a load like a 54 but will make a u turn on mud without a problem. Don't belive me come down to Venice and take a ride.
