 Bow fishing deck
I'm buying a new boat from gator trax. Thinking about getting a bow fishing pkatform. Yay or nay? Anyone with pros and cons on getting one or just having a temporary rail system made? Can I get away with a battery system or use a generator. Pictures and specs would be greatly appreciated.

 Re: Bow fishing deck
never had a deck, have removable rails with a 12v battery system, next summer I will most likely end up gettin a small honda generator. I have 3 big olé batteries in my boat every time I go bow fishing, would rather just one battery and one small generator. I love my LED lights though

 Re: Bow fishing deck
Every boat i have rigged for bowfishing at night has dad a raised deck. if i ever do it again it will have a flush ddeck with removable light rail. now i just go in tha river during the day so its been a couple years since I've had lights just been using the factory deck and i like it better

 Re: Bow fishing deck
I have the remove able light rail also. But I've been thinking about a raised deck mainly to have more room. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1413131444.543901.jpg

 Re: Bow fishing deck
It's all personal preference. I had a raised deck on my previous jet boat but ended up realizing I much more preferred a flush deck. So, now I have a full deck over (similar to gator trax gator hide)... Its so nice to be able to run up and down the boat when fighting fish without having to worry about falling off the deck. Lights, love the LED'S. It is so much easier to run them off a small Honda generator than to have to haul a ton of batteries on the boat though. A Honda 2000 will work for most guys. I'm running a 3000 on this boat. My teammate has a gator trax that he uses for bowfishing as well as hunting and he absolutely loves it! Good luck!
