I have an old sears 11'6" john boat I was thinking about fixing up and putting a stump jumper 7hp long tail on it.i never been duck hunting was mostly wanting to use it around Kissimmee and okeechobee to access hard to reach areas to hunt deer and hogs.would deff try duck hunting though.what are y'all's suggestions before I start this build? Would be used with me and one other person and minimal gear at most. What could I roughly expect for performance I know it's not a race car but just curious? And what mods are available for this motor? Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated thanks guys!

There are only a very few on here that have small motors like that. They do make a predator engine, I believe its a 5 or 6 hp that can be pumped up a little to about 12-13 hp. as far as performance, don't really know with a boat that small. But I wouldn't expect too much considering how small both the engine and boat is. I would post this in the long tail section. Maybe some could help out. Also think about changing the title. Some won't even look through a thread just from the title. something on the lines of "7hp LT on a 11'6" questions" or something on the lines of that. That way when they skim through the threads, they will know exactly what your talking about and the select few that might have them will chime in.
