Post Browning A5
I really like this gun and im thinking real hard about buying it. I really like the look I get down the barrel. Has anyone had any negative experiences with it?

No negative experiences. I've had mine 2yrs ran few thousand rounds thru hunting and sporting clays.

But remember it is an inertia driven gun so get all the packing grease out when you first get it and use very light oil and it will cycle perfectly.

Mine feels great, looks good, but kicks like a mule. I think it just doesn't fit me well. Either way, it stays at home, I shoot a sbe2 or extrema 2 instead.

I got mine this year just before season. I've only shot about 150 rounds through it but have not had any issues cycling. Have shot some game loads and #3 steel. I like how it feels and compared to my Charles Daly which did kick like a mule the a5 is very soft to me.

A5 seems like a decent gun from what limited shooting I have done with a buddy's, but it's no Auto-5 from what I have experienced. If your concerned about recoil go with a gas gun.

Looks like I have to take my gun in already for repair or replace. The auto loader isn't working right

Remove all the grease that the factory uses completely then put a very light oil shoot a round of clays with some hot shells and she will be broke in good. Inertia drive guns do not like a lot of lube good luck

It cycles fine no problem at all. Im talking about the auto load from the magazine when the chamber is empty. I should be calling it a speed loader. see the video at about 2.50 into the clip

It was operator error. My fault I was putting the shell in too far and my thumb was catching

Congrats! Gotta love getting a new gun. :icon_thumright:
I was in the store looking at 20 gauges and they owner suggested I shoulder one of the new A-5's.
Wow! Definitely not what I expected. I used to own an old style A-5. That new one felt REAL good to me.
I hope you take many birds with it. :icon_thumright:
