Post Preview of the New Phowler Extreme 1856
We have been prototyping some new hull sizes this winter and wanted to show you guys one of our new models that will be in production for this year.

We currently make a 48,52,60 wide single peice hulls. Our 52 and 60 have been the most popular models, the 52 has 24" deep sides and the 60 20-21" sides. We have found that the 60" boats carry a big load a bit better then the 52's because of the extra displacement. We decide to build some 56" wide hulls to see if we liked them. The 56" hull should carry a bigger load a better then the 52s, yet it maintains a 22" deep side, a feature guys up north like for late season hunting when it gets rough.

Here a few pictures of the new hull:

We think this will be a very good performer, we like the lines on this boat. It is roomy and will be very stable.

We will be getting it on the water as soon as we get a bit of a thaw up here.

Give us your thoughts and feedback.

I think a paint job can make or break a boats appearance. I think it's Maxxis's Brother Breaux boat that has the Max4 paint job by Camo Designs. The paint job just makes the boat look awesome.

Maybe you should paint your prototype boats with a badass camo paint job. The camo paint would obviously cost more but that could be an extra option. I think it would help sell boats because guys like things that look cool. Other than than, it looks like a good boat. Is it full flotation and is that a T-rail system in the gunnel?

No twist in the hull, it is just the angle of the picture vs. the truck. We do camo alot of boats, this one is going to the show this week and we already have four camo boats for the show, so we did it in granite coat. Cutt is right, the granite coat does not really show up very well in the picture, but it looks really nice, wears like iron and is a great finish on a boat.

No pic needed GigaFowl, just close your eyes and imagine a flat, slick sheet of .125" aluminum with a transom at one end, a bow at the other, and a tapered chine on each side. Oh, and it is 18' long and 56" wide.
Really, not trying to be a smart azz, but what I described above is all it is. (At least that's all it is on my boat) Nothing fancy and certainly not geometrically complicated, just a time proven design.

The boat looks a little plain to me, I know looks ain't everything, and this thing looks like it has plenty of room and will get the job done, but it's a box. People wanna look cool man, schnazzy, even though that makes 'em look like everybody else. This hull is just too damn plain, nothing special. Just my .02, hope I didn't offend.

I think it is a nice looking boat, but the only thing that I don't like is the handles on the outside of the boat in the front. But that is just my personal preferance.

In the reply to Wilson, Yes that is me with the Brother Breaux Hull with the Max-4 Paint job. Like everyone said, camo is an aesthetic purpose and i like it even though it is not needed.

Same paint different light. That boat was like a chameleon and blended in everywhere color wise.

You know, I kind of regret my first comment. I didn't see the side crimps until that pic West posted. It's actually a pretty nice hull, on the 2nd look I see the trim tabs, there's more to it than I thought. I would probably buy one.

Thanks for the replies, we don't try to build our boats to be the sexiest looking, they are meant to run and hunt. Up here guys like alot of room and deck space for piling up deks and gear. The boats have very nice lines when you see them in person. Biggest thing, they run and haul a load.

The feedback from the show last week confirmed it, folks really liked the look and feel of this 56 bottom boat, it and our new 2N'1 Blind were the hit of the show.

We will be putting this boat on the water and will have it at demos, will post up speeds and load once we can get her wet in the next few weeks. We already have three orders for this new hull from the show, so we are sure it will be in full production by spring.
