Re: Mikuni Jet Needle removal ??????
I want to say you can screw out on the idle adjuster knob to reach the allen head to loosen it, but to get it out I back the throttle lever stop scew out, its on the left side the carb ( opposite side of the throttle cable linkage) theres a locking nut on it. Can't miss it. that will allow you to rotate the slide/gate and linkage up more and out the way enough to reach in there with a set of needle nose pliers. Make sure to count the turns when you back it out, That way you can go back to the factory setting. Page 17 http://www.mikuni.com/pdf/hsr_tuningmanual_021003.pdf

Loosen the allen head, move the black clip to the side, open the throttle wide open and the needle will come up enough for yu to grab it.

Re: Mikuni Jet Needle removal ??????
Correct. You are moving the needle up which allows more fuel to move out of the tube therefore you would have to lower the clip.
