Re: Anyone else? Yes, teal season can be fun in sept, but there is nothing to compare to the sept elk rut. Peak is usually sept 17-23. Having an 900 to 1100 lb bull coming running in to fight you while your only holding a bow, is hard to beat.

Re: Anyone else? I been itchin since the day it ended! These are my all time favorite hunts. I dont know many if any people with a girlfriend more than willing to get up at 5:00 and help throw out 10 dozen decoys when it's freezing outside. Best hunting partner I've ever had. I absolutely cannot wait for this season coming up. Its gone by fast so far but now that yall got me talking about its gonna go slow as hell!

Best hunt bird wise i had all year, absolutely superb hunt with a huge bonus surprise banded greenhead that was completely lost. Killed out of a flock of pintails in the middle of the bay. And if anyone know texas coast hunting, mallards are almost non existent down here!

Re: Anyone else? Haha they work! Red heads dont care as long as there's white on them and the pintails pay em any attention as long as they are separated enough. Cheep and fast way to paint 4 dozen decoys lol 3 cans of spray paint!
