 PD Engine Bolts
On the front of my PD where the motor fits over the transom the 2 square headed bolts were fairly loose after using the boat this weekend....PD manual states to torque the bolts to 25lbs, who critical Is the using of a torque wrench to get it to exactly 25lbs vs tightening fairly snug with a socket??? What could have caused the bolts to come loose in the first place?

 Re: PD Engine Bolts
I just normally tighten down a good bit. I never used a torque wrench. It's happened to me before. Easy fix was using red locktight on the bolts. Never had that problem again.

 Re: PD Engine Bolts
Those will loosen up on you. I know both of mine are torqued WAY more than 25 ft-lbs! LOL
Most liberals seem to suffer from the same mental condition....it's called stupidity!

 Re: PD Engine Bolts
That's what I did, took a socket and just put a good tighten on it.
