 Build mudmotor
Hey, I'm looking to build a mud motor and need help/advice on designs and details, Preference on parts, and names to stay away from and such. Its for a 12 foot john boat. I don't have a preference on surface drive or on long tail, but if you do i would like to hear why. Thanks.

 Re: Build mudmotor
Call mudbuddy and ask if they still have the gatortail build plans. They should be able to get you a copy.

 Re: Build mudmotor
Longtails are easier to build. A 16hp would be fine on your 12 ft boat. Maybe a little on the big side. I'd tried to step up to a 14 footer if you can find one you can afford. Just cuz it's a little bit safer
It's simple. get a mud motor. shoot ducks in the face.
