Was hoping yall could help me on what SD will balance this boat out.
So I have pretty much settled on the boat. A 15x50 Gatortrax with a hunt deck; so really the boat will be 16' 8". It will have the hybrid V hull and .125 thickness with high transom. Typically run with a light load of 2 guys, dog and a few dozen decoys; 600 lbs in people and gear.

I defiantly want F,N,R on the SD and tilt/trim. I've been looking at the Mudbuddy 37 EFI. Not sure if the HDR or Sport V would be the better motor. I do run a lot of rivers with a mixture of hard bottom, sand, mud, timber, hydrilla and rock. How does a shorter drive shaft effect performance?

I have a buddy who runs the sport V and absolutely loves it. I run a gator tail and love it. That hard bottom is no one friend lol.

What ever you do make sure your transom is built to suit the gator tail if go that way mine isn't and I have to take it for modification
