This is part of marriage I never took into consideration this early into our marriage ( 5 years ). I always figured for better or for worse was pertaining to hers and mainly my mistakes. Maybe when me or her health is not well when we get older . This one though really has rocked me. My wife's mother had a tumor the size of 2 tennis balls removed from her head 2 days ago. We still had optimism that every thing might work out radiation and chemo. But we found out that the tumor is cancerous. Making matters worse the cancer is glioblastoma . The most aggressive form of cancer in the brain. She has ben given 6-18 months too live. This Has Ben very hard to handle being that it's my wife going through this. All I can do is support her. My mother in law is a sweet women who has lived a simple yet happy life always worrying about everyone other then herself . I Just don't understand gods thinking. My poor wife has dealt and taken care of both my father in laws strokes . Now this. Just can't understand how both of them deserve this . I had just gotten home from our lady of the Lourdes medical center in Lafayette ( great staff and accommodations ) to home In sulphur to feed my dogs. I figured we wouldn't hear anything till tomorrow being that I left at 8 pm. I get a call soon as I get home with the news . First I felt for my wife ( just can't seem to get a break ) , then hits me my mother in law who calls me son is going to die , three my wife is an hour and a half away from me. Sorry guys just wanted to vent a lil. Figured MMT is just as good as anywhere and has to be a better read then The shit ole DGuidry puts On here. I'm off to bed and headed back to Lafayette in the AM. Thanks for reading those that do. Prayers for my amazing wife are much appreciated !

Prayers for you and your family bud, we do not always understand gods rhyme or reason, but it is there. Don't loose faith just be happy that lady gave you a great wife, and good memories.

Really sorry to hear all of this. Prayers to you and your family. My friend, only 19, that was enlisted in the marines last year was also diagnosed with glioblastoma a few months back. The doctors told his family to cherish every moment with him in 2016 because he won't see 2017.

Praying for you and yours. Cancer is a rough thing to deal with. My mom beat it years ago but lost my grand ma to it. It can be beat.

Thanks everyone for the responses. Really means a lot ! The hardest part is seeing my wife suffer. Wish I could do more for her. All I can do is be there for her , listen to her when she talks, hold her when she cries, give her advice when she ask for it. I do agree God does not give you more then you can handle. We will be ok. Just another part of our life that will make us become better Christians and a have an even close bond. Again Thanks everyone !!!

Thanks everyone we really appreciate all the prayers and kind words. Things have turned for the worse today. She's no longer talking. They tried removing the drain tube in the back of her head but due to the tumor being in all the crevices of the brain , the fluid cannot drain. The brain has to have the fluid flowing or she can become brain dead. If they do more surgery they take a great risk of her quality of life being basically non existent. The hospital has ben consulting with MD Anderson out of Houston and things just are not looking very good. We are still praying . Once again thanks everyone !

I know how you feel. My mother in law is not too far off from my own mom, and she battled stage 4 cancer in her breast, liver, glands, and spine a year ago. Tough seeing your wife and family have to go through that. God showed us a miracle and my mother in law is in remission now. I will definitely be praying for your family.

Thanks fellas !!! Yet another weekend at lady of our lourde hospital. Working during the day at cheniere, and watching the kids and spending my weekends in Lafayette. That's my chance to see the wife a little and check on my mother in law. She had a 2nd brain surgery last Sunday. Progress is slow but she does seem a little better.

First, prayers for everyone involved.

God is not doing this. This is just how life can be. And we were condemned to the world we have now because we were not obedient to begin with when God asked us to not eat those apples. And though God is not to blame, he will use situations to teach us lessons or a friend a lesson. There is good that comes out of bad situations. Hard to believe this. But your family and wife may be getting ready to handle situations they know nothing about and could be a lot harder without this experience.

Hope things go good for her and your family.
