I've been running that lake for a minimum of 2 decades. Paddled every inch of it. Not a knothole anywhere that someone could tell me that I didn't already know where it was. Basically the definition of 'expert'. No need to call a guide, just call me. Fact.

I hear he has written an article for GON that has pissed a bunch of people off. I need to see if I can find it. He has about been run off from everywhere on the lake. I guess Trails End is just desperate enough to put up with him.

Well for the record I went to the nole once this year and didn't even hunt so take that for what it is worth. I didn't want to get into a pissing match about who knows the lake better. I was simply shedding some light on the subject of small blocks and what they are capable of. My son and his friends love for me take them hunting with me and learn what it takes to get the opportunity to shoot a few ducks and when they can't go with me every weekend they decide they will work all summer, save their money, pool it together, and try and buy a rig. What they end up with is around 6000 dollars between three kids and you can figure the rest. When 4 of us get in my boat and make a 10-20 min run at 25-28 mph and then they read a small block is running 28-29 with 2 and a hunting load they think one more person will not be that bad. But in in reality very few that are claiming those speeds are really running those speeds and if they are they don't have 3 bags of weighted decoys and a blind on the boat. So with that said small blocks have their place, like in HP restricted areas, for small people that don't use boat blinds, and single hunters that may just be a fat ass .

Aaron Crews is an idiot. He means well but is the most annoying person who just won't quit talking with you at the ramp. I seen No Limit riding around scouting this past season. According to pics on insta and FB looks like they got into some birds. He was an ok guy when I talked with him. He's running one of Tyler Cruitts Timber Creek boats with a GTR.
