Think the break handle style reverse can be converted on a tiller? Or is it a matter of buying an entire new motor to get the electric shift?

Well they don't have all the numbers nailed down but it would most likely be upwards of $700 but less than $1000.

This is based on my motor, which is a 2015 model.

If you're wanting to convert, be prepared for it to be around $1700.

That video on their fb was pretty impressive. I don't know about 1700 worth but it was awesome.

I know I have the old brake style reverse and a stock engine but my GTR would not back up two feet in those lilies. Maybe I need to go to driving school

Any word of a kit to swap out the lever for the electric?

I doubt it's that high. I'll ask Monday when I go by GT.

I mean your only talking a clutch, bracket, and an adapter. You could take what's already on there and add an electric break caliper and have the same thing for way less than 2k.

I can text a copy of my receipt to anyone interested in knowing what all was involved with converting mine. Mine is a 2012 that was converted but dont think GT is wanting to convert the older model frames or has the means to at this point. Hoyt just hooked me up since I had purchased the Electric tranny already.

No brackets. The newer frames reverse is held on by what looks like a small turnbuckle and connected to a piece of angle aluminum that mounts to the kickers or ears off the back. Mine was simply turnbuckled to an older style reverse caliper aluminum block.

The ears off of the back were what I was talking about.

I spoke with Hoyt on Friday about converting the tiller. He told me it should be less than $1000.00 base on my 2015 motor. He didn't have exact numbers crunched but figured it to be around $700.

No doubt

Is it something you can order and do yourself? I can't bring my boat by the shop to have done.

700 would be great but at very least you have to buy a 300.00 clutch isnt present on current reverse. That only leaves 400 to buy the transmission, the outer hub, shaft extension, etc. Im hoping you're right but don't see it being probable. But if so the 2k+ pill I just swallowed converting mine would suck even more.

Thinking back, your 2015 actually may have the correct transmission already, if so those numbers may very well be possible.
