Post Gator tail or Mudbuddy
First post so not sure where to post... But what's everyones opinion on GTR vs Mudbuddy?

Thinking of getting one in the future and wanted to know if it truly a ford/chevy type thing or does one brand over a more specific advantage over the other. Thanks guys!

You should try using the search feature. This topic has been discussed time and time again. The best thing for you to do is find people in your area and test drive both then make a decision based off what you like.

.....GoDevil, ProDrive, Copperhead, Mayem, Boss......just to mention a few more.....

But, yeah....it's pretty much a Ford/Chevy/Dodge/Toyota thing.

I have had a 35 Mud Buddy HD and now I have a 4400 HDR Mud Buddy I've truly enjoyed both. I've hit things dead center WOT and both of them just kept on eating. When you do hit something real hard it makes you appreciate a floating handle no doubt lol.

Like many have suggested on here find someone close run the brands you can get your hands on and go from there.

My buddy has a Pro Drive and it's a solid motor. Bottom line it's a personal preference and at the end of the day most these engines can take a beating and keep on kicking. I know I've put two Mud Buddy engines through their paces and my friend has had good luck with his Pro Drive. So I can honestly say either way you go there you'd be ok. I'm sure GT and Go Devil are good to but I haven't ran either one so I can't give a true opinion based on experience. They are all air cooled and in my opinion easier to work on then small outboard parts.

Good luck
