Post Wattage of Older Mud Buddy Headlights??
Anyone remember the wattage of the older MB headlights? I am replacing with a small 12" LED, think its around 78 watts. Just wondering the wattage difference between the old and new.

Planning on installing new LED within the protector frame that housed the MB lights.

Maybe stupid question out of boredom. :D

If they were the sealed beam aircraft lights, they would have been either 100 or 130 watts. Either way, your led's should be significantly less that the old ones.

DAD GUMMIT. Cant get in a comment due to the new comments

An 18 watt would be similar to a dome light in a car.

Most auto headlight halogens are 50-60 watts. CB is right...if you can get the bulb out - it should be labeled.

A 75 to 100 watt halogen is equivalent to a 10-15 watt LED.

EDIT: A lot of the advantages to these lights (LED) is the design of the reflectors and lenses (besides energy savings).

Those look like the old sealed beams...

Do you still have them? Did you ever replace the bulbs?

Here is the LED install using the original Mud Buddy frame housing. Worked pretty good. Just might want to move just a touch forward. 20161009_174101.jpg

You need to find a better place to store that bow rope.

Ill have to figure a lower profile protection for it next year. Always hated how high profile the Mud Buddy lights were.
