Re: Ever see this Hydroturf? thats the new gen, i saw it last week. its supposed to out perform the older version. I just finished taking the old hydroturf off my hide today, going to be putting on the new stuff in a week or two.

Re: Ever see this Hydroturf? Looks like they developed a hot roller to go over the top layer of the normal cut groove, melted it a little and formed a pattern with more texture.

Re: Ever see this Hydroturf? Saw a new gatortrax boat a couple weeks ago that had the new gen. hydro turf. I checked it out and its comfortable to walk on. Not sure if its any tougher than the original or not, time will tell. FYI: Turf goes on waaaay easier than it comes off. Speaking from experience here, even with a heat gun that shit is hard to remove if it was put down right. Do it in the shade with lots of beer and good old country music playing because you'll be there a while.

Re: Ever see this Hydroturf? I have the new turf in my gatortax. I had the old generation stuff as well in my previous boat. The newer turf seems a little more durable and definitely easier to clean. Plenty comfortable though if you're barefoot.

Re: Ever see this Hydroturf? I just finished replacing the hydroturf in my boat this weekend. Kent, at Gator Trax, suggested I get an oscillatting tool to remove the old stuff. I bought a Dewalt oscillating tool and the removal was a piece of cake. The new hydroturf is nice to walk on and seems pretty durable. Time will tell. Here are some before and after pics.

Re: Ever see this Hydroturf? I just installed mine before teal season. I think it will hold up much like the molded diamond turf from the good old days. It is not porus and will likely not decintigrate in the sun like the cut pattern and cut groove stuf. It is soft enough so that not too bad on bare feet or kneeling on the deck.
