i havent run my boat head to head with an outboard, but have run a simular boat with approx. the same hp. no gps but it feels like speeds are very close.

have yall compaired them heads up?

how do they compare?

seems if you could post up some real data you could compete with the outboards, expecially if you offered a prop just for open water. the prop forum has a tread about props that are for open water only and dont really work in the mud and weeds.

customer comes in and wants a motor for a fishing boat and doesnt run mud. slap an open water prop on and out the door, with an open water rig. vise versa a mud rig.

was thinkin they were comp in price per hp. just rembered when i was lookin for a motor, i was compairing outboard jet drive vs. mm. mm was the way to go on price and proformance. guess outboards are cheeper.
