 Cross threaded bolt on 2015 gatortail 37 I cross threaded the grease bolt on my motor. Any suggestions on getting it out.

Re: Cross threaded bolt on 2015 gatortail 37 What flint said. The bolt and the hole may be bad . If retapping and cleaning the bolt hole up doesn't work what I usually do is tap the hole the next size larger.
Regardless start with a new bolt if you can
Maybe somebody else has a better idea

I didn't realize I needed a more complex issue to ask for advice.

Re: Cross threaded bolt on 2015 gatortail 37 I got it fixed. It is 1/8" pipe thread plug. I crossed it bad and had to drill it out. I used a smaller bit and when it was almost completely drilled it started turning. The threads were damaged but I retapped them and the same size plug fits.
