Post GD 35 (MUKUNI)...Power BOGGS Down after 20-30 mins WOT
It's been a long time since I asked for assistance with a issue with my GD35.

Note: My motor appeared to be running too rich...noticed duel exhausts had soot and also did a leak down test on both cyl, just to be safe, but were ok, not an issue. Have had mikunni ruining very nicely since 2011 no problems, but had noticed some fuel leaking from overflow tube. Hit it with carb cleaner.
Did not ever have issues with jets, but thought a carb rebuild may be necessary.

Anyone with a similar issue, and what they did to resolve it would be most appreciated.

Also appreciate hearing from anyone who takes a Veteran or Wounded Warrior fishing during this November during veterans day weekend. You would be surprised just how man WW and Vets don't get out and sometimes all it takes is someone to give an invitation, which may mean much more than you know , if you know any Vets wherever your located in the MM Community.
Best regards....

Not fuel line issue, as I use 1/4" lines, and replace all lines every 3-4 years.

That issue was within the Minkuni found only, after we did a re-build of the M-Carb.

Of course O Rings needed to be replaced, and the "Needle" was seated was a bit two high.

Moved it down to middle, and my mechanic friend Mr. Ray noticed that the metal brace- for the float was bent ever so slightly, and he believed it was this that was not allowing the float to properly close, but occasionally stick.

He took down CARB, cleaned out, and re set, looking at it, but most eyes just couldn't see the issue of - fuel leakage IMO. I even got a special Minkuni carb mechanic- over to look it over carefully, however he replied that the Mikunni Carb always leaks excessive fuel in his opinion.

That friend of mine, Mr. Ray, kept thinking about what could really be the issue, and found that a (slight bent within the metal frame connector) was the culprit, and now....GD35 is running exceptionally well, with no power loss, under WOT deep into the far wilderness of our Delta back country.

In addition, recommend moving from a larger Bulb Pump, to a smaller bulb pump and relocated it- lower/ below the WF/Separator; and readdressed the issue- on my second skiff, my 20' D-3 MARSH MASTER...as to pros/cons of "force-feed/(V) "electronic fuel pump as the fuel flow in many skiffs are > 19' in T.L.

This Minkuni conundrum was not so simple a issue that meets the eye, or one's sense of logical deduction.
Best Regards,
and take a Wounded Warrior out fishing sometime in the month of Nov.
