I have a 2016 GTR 37 EFI that has about 12 hrs on it. It has always started in gear. This is not a huge issue but have noticed that I have some ground issues with my running lights and wondering if it all may be related. The running lights work fine until the engine is turned all the way. When the engine reaches the "Bump stop" the starboard running light goes out. Seems to be a grounding issue. Anyone else have a similar issue or have any ideas before I start really tearing things apart?

Thought the light issue was simple. Changed light and connection before I realized it only goes out when the motor bottoms out.

Sounds a lot like either a loose connection some close to your motor or may a wire is getting pinched. BTW it might be the F/N/R switch could be wired up wrong. Neutral should be the only position that your starter solenoid should engage. Back track it from the solenoid to the switch.
I don't run the 37 EFI so I am not sure what is different from the 2011 models and the new ones, I am running the newer wiring harness and it was a plug and play had no problems.
