 Predator 22hp 670cc Performance?
Was thinking about getting one these motors, are there any performance parts for these that anyone has done, besides governor etc. What speeds is everyone getting? Or is it better off spending the money and getting a better motor. Thanks in advance.

 Re: Predator 22hp 670cc Performance?
Do a search. I've replied to many post like this.
In short...it’s worth the money. 125+ hours on one paired with a Backwater SWOMP. The motor is similar to a Honda GX, and many of the factory parts fix. The one I put together runs around 4k RPM in water with a 9x6 prop. We’ve had 2 problems with the motor. A coil went bad last weekend, and the starter stopped fully engaging the flywheel.
The coil was user caused. I sold it to a buddy. He keeps it outside, and the boat regularly fills up with water. The motor is starting to get ate up with corrosion, and the wiring it just in bad shape. The starter I was able to adjust closer to the flywheel and no more problems.
