First Surface Drive! MB HDR 37 EFI
I ordered my first surface drive motor and received it today. I'm excited to rig the boat and get it out soon. Its going on a 100 gauge weldbilt vbow flat bottom 1652.
The mudbuddy hdr 37efi came with a electric fuel pump. Does anyone know if it is required gonna be inline for the efi motors or do they just provide in case you need/want to use it? Thanks

Re: First Surface Drive! MB HDR 37 EFI
NICE!!! But I would put in a primer blub and another fuel inline close to tank especially if tank is gonna be forward mounted.
BTW those Nav lights? on front don't look like they meet Coast Guard Regs.
Sidelights - Colored lights - red on port and green on starboard - showing an unbroken arc of the horizon of 112.5 degrees, from dead ahead to 22.5 degrees abaft the beam on each side.

Lights meet coast guard approval but I appreciate the concern. They also look great on the boat in dim light.
I was able hang the motor today and I couldn't be happier. I'll be finishing the electric fuel pump and water fuel separator later this week.

Re: First Surface Drive! MB HDR 37 EFI
Everyone has their own opinions on pods. My pods do not hinder the turning radius of the motor and will help with hole shot and getting on plane quicker. We don't have horrible mud here in Maryland like areas further south.

Thanks for congratulations! Here is a pic after completing the fuel delivery rigging. 1/4" line with fixed connections. Water fuel/separator and electric fuel pump.

Re: First Surface Drive! MB HDR 37 EFI
Had the boat out today for the first break in... My buddy and I (400lbs) were getting 28-29mph. Happy with the way the boat handled and the hole shot.
