 EFI mods question..
Thinking about doing the Level 2 build to my motor this summer, question is can the level 3 be added later on without having to re tune the EFI or does the EFI need to be tuned again once the cam is added?

 Re: EFI mods question..
When you change the cam its a big difference between tunes. Usally very rich on bottom from weakened vacuum signal and a bit lean on top

 Re: EFI mods question..
Yes, but they hard tune the ecu now. So if down the road you add a cam you would swap your ecu for the lvl3 ecu.

 Re: EFI mods question..
So that sounds like just another 400 to spend of the re tune. I guess it would be cheeper in the long run to do straight for the level 3?

 Re: EFI mods question..
Unless you did as TP said, then you'd only have to plug in the new ecu right?

 Re: EFI mods question..
I can set you up with what you need aswell. I use a fuel controller and you adjust adjust the fuel after you do the cam install.

 Re: EFI mods question..
Get a kit from BPS!
The tuner has pre-set maps. All you have to do when you go to the next stage is turn a dial to the next map.

 Re: EFI mods question..
Exactly what i was thinking. Correct me please if im wrong but the bps allows 5%+ or - of the base map, level 1 , level 2 etc. i really like tthat a selectable map can get you close to start and then dial in from there. I would be nervous about 5% covering up a 106 lsa or whatever cam / mods.

 Re: EFI mods question..
If you are interested in something custom give me a call. I can do anything you want. I can allow more than 5% on the trim pots as well on a custom tuner. 385-695-3807
As far as elevation is concerned, I have found it's a non factor. The MAP sensor makes adjustments for that. I have tested the exact same motor, and tune all the way from below sea level in NOLA, to 8500', and the AFR numbers were negligible.
