I love this time of year. Vegetables can go directly from the garden to the kitchen. Sat down to a dinner and everything on my plate (except for the Mexican Cornbread) came from the back yard. The wife picked the greens today. My neighbor raised hogs, and I helped out with the feeding and got a whole hog for the cost of processing.

With all the rain and warm weather, the garden is exploding.

Now that is a meal!

For some reason things just taste better when you raise it yourself.
