Post Mud buddy 37 efi losing power! help pls
I'm running a mud buddy 37 efi w delta 3.5. I was on the trinity last weekend and after about 20 -30 minutes of running hard up the river. It started slowly losingpower. I stopped looked at everything. Checked oil etc. started right back up and ran fine.... for 15 mins and did it again. Progressively getting worse. Motor only has 17 hours on it. Feels like it's running out of gas. Fuel filter is about half full. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks guys

When it starts that, pump the bulb. It'll at least identify if the low pressure pump is going out.

They're not installed in most cases but depends on who ran your fuel line. They're nice to have in the boat in case you lose your fuel pump, but aren't required. I've seen enough fuel pumps die at inconvenient times, the bulb helps keep the carb full of fuel, or in your case, fuel provided for the high pressure pump

Lol. Well Russ when u said prime it w bulb. I was like. Dang I haven't noticed a bulb. Yeah I like that idea. Any downfall to having a bulb on the line? Can I just buy a bulb kit and install on this line or do I need a whole new line w bulb?

Call Delta and see what they have to say. I've heard of issues where it could be your plugs. The efi has like a knock sensor that will make the motor bog down if its triggered and act like it has no power. I believe you could go to a cooler plug to solve this.

There is no knock sensor on that motor, i have seen some fouled plugs lately. I would also check the valve lash. After valves seat they can end up to tight and float when hot
