 37 efi coils
Where can i find the coils for the 37hp EFI? I can’t find this part number anywhere on the internet. One of them is smoked and I need to find another set ASAP!

Look up your engine on partstree.com, find the part number for the coil, then order from amazon.

 Re: 37 efi coils
The only ones I've seen smoked are due to a shorted wire. Look closely where the harness goes under the intake. That little metal plate loves to rub the harness on the bottom side. Many times this will also smoke the coil driver in the ecu also. Once fixed add a bead of silicone between that plate and the harness to prevent the rubbing

Thanks Will. That’s what I was looking for. Still can’t find a replacement anywhere. Calling mud buddy directly and leaving a message is worthless because they don’t return calls and take forever to ship.

Look on backwater performance website. I believe they sell them, don’t know how competitive the price is though

 Re: 37 efi coils
Since I can pretty much forget finding parts within a reasonable amount of time... this will be my fix for the rest of the season. I can buy as much stupid crap for this thing as I want.
They are not the same coils as the CDI/ Non CDI, not listed online anywhere or on backwaters site.

 Re: 37 efi coils
Did you just ignore the other thread you posted the exact same thing on where I told you to call boat DR. You could have them at your house by now......

 Re: 37 efi coils
Okay okay! I gave BoatDR a call. He had the coils and a new wiring harness in stock. I’ll be in business again next week. I can put my dinosaur go-devil back in the shed.

All that stuff was on amazon, too. Just needed to look on partstree for the part number if it wasnt on the coil.

 Re: 37 efi coils
I dont need one asap. But a call before closing today to local Briggs service center confirms they could have them in their shipment tomorrow afternoon, which is the same thing a call to boatdr did. Glad you found what you needed.
