I have been real busy running nets and the season is about over. One thing I noticed was my back is wearing out and I would like to buy a cathead winch for my fishing boat. I spoke to Stumpgrinder about one and he is going to get some brand names off a couple of boats for me when he gets back.
I know alot of you guys either use them or see them and I would like to get one asap but have no idea of where to find one. There is a Comm fisherman near me who has one but we compete against each other and not too many words are said between us.
I'm looking for one to pull up net rope and net anchors so the weight will be around 200 pounds or so.
Any help on locating a winch would be appreciated.

one of the guys on here from venice may be able to hook you up with a power roller for pickin up gillnets,or at least pictures so you can build one for next season.you still gotta pull on the net,but its a big help.

netman, will a pot puller like the crabbers work? i would think so. i have no idea where to get one, but i will ask my crabbin buddies.
they are 12v but will pull like a mfer. they work like the pot pullers on 'deadlyiest catch', only smaller.

google pot pullers and look at them, then tell ur old man to build u one.
