 Eclectic reverse shaft extension removal. I have a buddy trying to remove his shaft extension on a 35 gtr electic reverse. Can anyone give me a heads up on how the shaft extension comes off the newer e reverse engines? My old model hydrauic reverse is just keywayed onto the briggs crank shaft but it doesn't seem this ones the same

Re: Eclectic reverse shaft extension removal. This is on a console model engine. The shaft extension came off with some serious force but after removing outer ring gear, now the belt drive pulley is seiszed also. Anyone know if we're overlooking some type of locking system on the e reverse models? Tried 4 ft cheater bars, with gear pullers and impacts for 3 hrs and no luck getting it off crankshaft.

Re: Eclectic reverse shaft extension removal. Well, the professionals say its probably a case of fusion welding due to a bearing failure. Only advise was to cut through the gear/bearing and replace. Crankshaft has a nice size lip worn into it from race spinning at one point too so he likely wont be looking at too cheap of a fix.
