 Re: New build
Yeah, nothing against your work, your hulls always look good. It's all just personal taste. I've had a few people that have asked me to try and keep the shear line straight cause they like that look more.

 Re: New build
Capt JJ- How are you trimming out your sides? Welding out the inside then rolling on its side and cutting with worm saw? Or are u using plasma also?

 Re: New build
Question. The top side rails on your builds are those bought or just bent in a brake? I'm wanting to build my first hull but I'm from Georgia so I'm having trouble finding materials. And help is greatly appreciated! Your build is looking great!

 Re: New build
Yes and No. All I can do is speak from my personal experience. I have built several 1 piece crimped hulls and several 3 piece. My brother in law talked me into doing this on this 3 piece hull. In comparison from this hull to my buddys hull (which we built), I have a much easier time going through shit than he does. Maybe its a hell of a coincidence, but mine is tapered and his isn't and he struggles. same size hull, same stage 2 kawi.

 Re: New build
54" wide 3/16" thick bottom with 8 braces should be enough to dry dock that thing on top of a cypress knee and use it as a merry-go-round without leaving a mark 1x2 tubing stood on end?

 Re: New build
Those 1x2's... Do you notch and re-weld to get that radius for the rake?

 Re: New build
Need y'all opinion.
Should I mount my flush mount led lights in the flat spot that I cut out of in the back of the hunt deck?
In here?
Or here?

If they're 60* then "or here" spot. If they're 30* then "in here" spot.

 Re: New build
My vote is for "or here". It would illuminate the hunt deck as well as onto the water.

 Re: New build
Biggest problem you will have in the corners is if the lights become submerged. They are "Water proof" to a certain degree. If you were to park on the bank for a long period of time and submerge the lights then they may or may not work after that. Don't have experience with that just know those lights aren't 100% waterproof regardless what they say on the box
