Mud motor with folding rear deck and no huntdeck?
I have a folding rear deck on my 1748 gtb I don't have a hunt deck and I am currently running a 25hp outboard motor. The outboard works fine with the folding deck, I am able to sit down and drive comfortably. But the time to upgrade to a mud motor is coming quick and I want to make sure that it will still be comfortable with a mud motor. My concern is that a mud motor's tiller will be much longer making it impossible to sit and drive.
I talked to a salesmen at GatorTail who assured me that it would be fine but I wanted to get some more opinions.
I was told that GatorTail will modify your boat after you've purchased it, so if enough people think it will be uncomfortable or impossible I may remove the rear deck all together.

 Thanks!
Thanks! I was hoping someone with first hand experience like yourself would chime in. Looks like I'm running out of excuses to not pull the trigger on a new motor...darn

Here's what I ended up doing to mine. Turned out pretty good for what I was wanting the end result to be. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=67393&p=901860#p901860

Thats a good looking setup you've got! Good to see where the tiller would be on my boat. Looks like it would still be plenty of room. Thanks again.
